Youth Silks Level 3 $84 Purchase required to enroll
Intro to Partner Acro $96 Purchase required to enroll
In this mini-session we’ll dive into the basics of circus-style, or standing, partner acrobatics. We’ll break our foundational skills into their composite parts to build a safe, effective, and efficient partner acro practice!
This mini session will begin with a focus on counterbalance and bone-stacking based skills, moving on to dance lifts, transitions, and more complicated pathways as students are ready. We’ll look at a variety of progressions for people of different levels, as well as multiple entries and exits to certain skills. For those who are feeling feisty, we’ll explore sequence building and choreography options.
All students will be able to try basing, flying, and switching as desired. Beginners and dabblers welcome—no partner needed—we’ll get you started on the right foot!
Note: This is not an acro-yoga class. The majority of skills will be based from standing.

Bar Apparatus Teacher Training $650 Purchase required to enroll
Join Air Temple Arts for our first ever bar apparatus teacher training!
In this workshop we’ll learn how to teach fundamental skills of lyra and trapeze effectively and safely, with a focus on understanding the techniques, mechanics, and rules that act as the foundation for safe work on a horizontal apparatus.
Our aim is to encourage deep-thinking instructors who can bridge the gap between explaining the steps to complete a trick and intimately understanding the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ behind a skill.
We’ll dissect standard beginner skills on both apparatus, and delve deeper into intermediate skills for aerial hoop. In these skills we’ll explore common failure points, blocks, and modifications.
This workshop additionally covers modules on class management, teaching methodologies, safe-spotting, basic rigging, and injury prevention. We will use both hands on, and classroom learning. Students who are interested in deepening their understanding of their apparatus but do not have an interest in teaching are welcome to attend.
Minimum Pre-requisites: Students should have a current, and regular practice on lyra or trapeze and should be able to execute the following skills comfortably and consistently: pullover to front balance, back balance, single knee hang. Students should be able to invert in the ropes on trapeze, or to the top bar from sitting on a lyra without tagging. Students should have some practice with long hang and knee beats.

Attendees will need to have a new act ready to perform each class 3-5 minutes. Acts do not need to be polished! Any “type” of act is fine, non-circus acts included. Acts should be entirely new, created specifically for this class.

Flowing Up and Down on Dance Trapeze w/Caitlin Wallace $60 Purchase required to enroll
This workshop teaches a unique sequence that travels across trapeze “levels'' – under the bar, on the bar, and in the ropes. It includes sneaky transitions between levels, offering tricks for hiding elements like regripping or repositioning body placement. The result will be insight on how to make smooth, controlled level changes so trapeze flows effortlessly.
Prerequisites: Students should be able to pullover to front balance from the ground without a spot. Comfortable in single hip hang and back balance. Advanced workshop requires inverting in the ropes – students should have clean, comfortable rope inverts throughout class.Spinal Twists & Side Bends for Straddles & Y-Scales w/Caitlin Wallace $60 Purchase required to enroll
Fun fact: Did you know sidebending and rotation are coupled motions in the spine? As in, they will always occur together! This flexibility workshop expands on that, offering innovative drills to improve thoracic rotation (twists), as well as deep hip flexibility, and open shoulders in sidebends. Thoracic mobility in general is a key component of upper back bends and shoulder flexibility, but also ensures proper posture and deeper breathing. The culmination of this class will be y-scale (and y-scale-esque) positions, as well as sidebending in straddles. Along the way we will also discuss the application of different exercises to aerial skills like meathooks, c-shapes, bell beats, and more.
Prerequisites: current flexibility or movement practice (aerial, circus, dance, yoga, pole, acro etc).
