Balance Yourself on a Thing
The things we’re going to try to balance on are unicycles, rolla bollas, and balance ladders. Learning any of these skills tends to be a long term process, but this workshop will get students started with the basics. Bring a friend or two because we’ll be working in small groups. All things to balance on will be provided, but feel free to bring a (very clean) unicycle, rolla bolla, or balance ladder if you have one.
Pre-requisites: None
Clothing Requirements: Wear comfortable pants, similar to what you might wear if you were riding a bike. Tights or leggings are fine. Students should wear sneakers with flat soles, if possible. Shoes must be cleaned before walking on carpeted mat floor, so we recommend that you wear a different pair and then change shoes when you get to the studio. Pads and a helmet are not required, though students are welcome to use them if they want to. Shin pads are likely the most useful.
