Intro to Partner Acro
In this mini-session we’ll dive into the basics of circus-style, or standing, partner acrobatics. We’ll break our foundational skills into their composite parts to build a safe, effective, and efficient partner acro practice!
This mini session will begin with a focus on counterbalance and bone-stacking based skills, moving on to dance lifts, transitions, and more complicated pathways as students are ready. We’ll look at a variety of progressions for people of different levels, as well as multiple entries and exits to certain skills. For those who are feeling feisty, we’ll explore sequence building and choreography options.
All students will be able to try basing, flying, and switching as desired. Beginners and dabblers welcome—no partner needed—we’ll get you started on the right foot!
**The first class on June 2nd will begin at 2:05, the remainder will being at 2:30**
Note: This is not an acro-yoga class. The majority of skills will be based from standing.

Prerequisites: All students should be able to hold a 30 second hollow body with good form, be comfortable kicking up to a handstand (no hold necessary) in free space, and be able to do three push ups and ten squats with good form.
